Plow trucks were lined up and ready to roll Tuesday at the Yonkers Department of Public Works yard on Nepperhan Avenue ahead of Wednesday's storm.
News 12 was told the city of Yonkers had more than enough salt to treat the roads before the storm. Salt crews were expected to hit the roads starting at 11 p.m. Tuesday
Yonkers DPW Commissioner Thomas Meier said what concerned him is the amount and type of snow that's headed our way.
"We're going to get a wet heavy snow, certainly branches are going to come down … more trees are going to come down," he said.
The city was working with Con Edison to clear roads blocked by downed trees and power lines from last Friday's storm.
Meier also warned drivers to stay off the roads during the storm so his crews can do their jobs.

"It's very difficult to take a large multi-ton truck with an 8-foot plow on it and weave it in and out of parked cars," he said.
