The city of Yonkers has given an apartment complex another violation after asbestos was found in the laundry room.
The city's building commissioner tells News 12 that the presence of asbestos resulted in the shutdown of 10 laundry facilities on the property of the Crestwood Lake Apartment complex.
The city is now waiting for air sample results before removing condemnation signs it put up.
Pat Haines lives above them and says she worries about what she and her husband have been breathing in for decades.
"My husband has this cough. Who knows - I might have to have him checked out for that. That could be something serious," she says.

A spokesperson for the Woodner Company, the owner of the complex, says testing is underway and that it is cooperating with the city.
There is also a growing concern for the 27 employees who work in the complex. The union representing them says it is meeting with management to investigate further and possibly develop a medical response to check for exposure and to assure care.
