Man in critical condition following Tappan construction accident

A construction worker is in critical condition after getting crushed in Rockland County.

Investigators say 49-year-old Arian Hila was inside a dumpster, trying to clear a clogged debris chute, when the chute collapsed.

It happened during renovations at the German Masonic Home in Tappan, Friday afternoon.

Officials say Hila, of New Jersey became pinned by the fully clogged chute and unable to breath.

He's being treated at Nyack Hospital in critical condition.
