Fuhgeddaboudit Food: My Cuban Spot

My Cuban Spot is serving up authentic Cuban cuisine on Carroll Street.
The Gowanus restaurant believes its Cuban sandwiches are the best in New York City.
Owner and chef Louie Estrada says the wait can sometimes take up to 20 minutes, but it's worth it for tasty dishes and perfectly melted cheese. The Miami-born chef says he serves many dishes that he grew up eating at home, including picadillo and maduros.
"Not to toot my own horn, but I think my Cuban sandwich is one of the best out there," says Estrada. "I think it's the love you put behind food."
Estrada says he hopes to expand the restaurant in the future while keeping up its pop-up window style.
