Lawsuit claims Ulta Beauty resold used cosmetics

Ulta Beauty is facing a second lawsuit that claims the stores resold used cosmetics.
According to the lawsuit filed in Illinois, employees were given a limit on returned items that could be thrown out.
Once it was reached, the suit alleges products were repacked and resold.
The suit claims shampoo, foundation, and mascara were almost always put back on shelves because it was difficult to tell if they had been used.
A statement from Ulta reads, in part, "Our policy does not allow the resale of used products. The health and safety of Ulta Beauty guests is a top priority."
The statement also says the company plans to vigorously defend itself against the allegations.
