POUND RIDGE -

A teenager has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his role in the carjacking death of a man from Pound Ridge.

Police say in 2017, Richard Donaldson, along with two others, robbed 72-year-old Kenneth Spalter and his wife in their son-in-law’s car in Missouri.

Authorities say another person fatally shot Spalter when he resisted. Spalter was in Missouri to see his newborn grandchild.

Donaldson pleaded guilty in August to second-degree murder, robbery and other charges.
