13 dogs graduate MTA explosive detection programPosted: Updated:
More than a dozen K-9 cops are officially ready to fight crime on train platforms.
Thirteen bomb-sniffing dogs just graduated from a 12-week MTA explosive detection program in Dutchess County.
Each dog is named in honor of a fallen service member or first responder.
One of the dogs, named Hammer in honor of United States Park Police Sgt. Steven Connell, will join the Peekskill Police Department.
