Orangetown is open for business, supervisor saysPosted: Updated:
Orangetown Supervisor Chris Day says he wants to bring in more businesses to the community to fill available space in places like Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River.
To do so, he says he plans to tout local businesses in a monthly listing.
"They may have been here 20 years, five years, or six months, but they're doing great things for our community," Day says. "I don't want to just favor new business over old. I want to make sure they're all getting attention for what they're doing here."
Orangetown says by bringing in new business it will help cut taxes and help grow the local economy. Officials are actively searching for and speaking to new business owners.
