Neighbors in Tuckahoe told News 12 that they are concerned about plans to upgrade a Concordia College soccer field.
The college campus is located in Bronxville, but the field sits in the village of Tuckahoe.
The field could soon be equipped with six 70-foot light towers, a state-of-the-art sound system and eight bathrooms. Residents in the area say they are concerned about the upgrade.
"I'm not alone in these concerns that such a large structure as stadium lights would be out of place in such a small neighborhood like ours," says resident Yoselin Brice. "It would be something that would be too disruptive to the quiet life we enjoy here."
Concordia College says it is in the early planning and discussion stages, with respect to the upgrading of the soccer field. They say they will continue to be responsive to the concerns of neighbors.
The village of Tuckahoe is planning a board meeting on Feb. 21 to hear comments from the residents who live in the community.
