Hundreds of women from across Long Island gathered in Port Jefferson Station Saturday for a rally marking one-year anniversary of the Women's March that followed the inauguration of President Donald Trump. 

The rally included organizations such as Long Island Rising and North Country Peace Group, who told News 12 that it wasn't an anti-Trump rally, but a call for change in the direction of the country.

"This is the beginning of the revolution," said Myrna Gordon, of the North Country Peace Group. "It started a year ago and we are going to continue it."

Organizers say the only way to get the change they are calling for is by getting out the vote and registering as many new voters as possible.

Also at the rally were the North Country Patriots, who held signs supporting Trump and American flags. 

"We support President Trump. We don't think he's perfect, but we think that he's been doing a lot of good things for this country," said one member. 

Participants at the women's rally also brought hygiene products and baby items to be donated to domestic violence shelters and food pantries.
