Accidents involving 14 cars slowed traffic on both sides of the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge Wednesday morning.
Police say the accidents happened around 8 a.m. on the northbound side of the span.
Two lanes of Rockland-bound traffic were closed and backups extended for miles on both sides of the Thruway. All lanes have since reopened.
No one was seriously injured in the crashes.
The cause of the crashes are under investigation, but icy roadways are suspected.
