THORNWOOD -

A driver crashed into a gas station in Thornwood Monday evening after her car slipped on ice.

The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Police say a black Honda slammed into the Foodmart at the Shell station on Marble Avenue right off of Exit 27 on the Saw Mill Parkway.

She struck a 62-year-old woman before hitting the store. Both of the woman’s legs were injured.

There was no evidence of the young driver being intoxicated, and the driver stayed on scene.

None of the injuries to the pedestrian or the driver were considered life-threatening.
