Cars line up at car wash to clean off snow and slush

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS -

A steady stream of cars came to Wonder Wash car wash in Yorktown Heights Saturday, with drivers wanting to remove the snow caked onto their cars.

Employees worked in frigid conditions, scrubbing away and wiping cars clean.

"I give them a lot of credit. You try and tip them well because it is not pleasant for people to be working out in these conditions," says Sean Jencik, of Yorktown.

Jencik says, though, it is a necessary job.

"Salt, salt and more salt, so that's why I am here at the car wash. You have got to get the salt off your car or otherwise it will really damage your car," he says.
