Speed, snow blamed as SUV crashes into Ossining store

OSSINING -

Slick road conditions and a driver going to fast are being blamed for a SUV that crashed into an Ossining store this morning.

Ossining Police Chief Kevin Sylvester says he was watching as a driver skidded through a stop light and into a storefront on Main Street.

No injuries were reported, and the damage is still being inspected.

Sylvester says the wind is blowing snow all over the road and plows are having a hard time keeping up with the accumulation. “It’s a dangerous driving day today, we are asking everyone to stay off the roads.”
