PLEASANTVILLE -

A cable television director is accused of trying to catch nannies undressing or using the bathroom at his Pleasantville home.

According to the felony complaint, 44-year-old Daniel Switzen, a father of two and director for CNBC, strategically placed a camera inside a bathroom tissue box in November to spy on unsuspecting users, including multiple family nannies.

After a brief court appearance, Switzen had nothing to say, and his attorney said he would not discuss the allegations.

Switzen is due back in court March 13. If convicted of unlawful surveillance, he could face up to four years in prison.

CNBC did not comment on Switzen's employment status.
