YONKERS -

For the second time in a week, gunfire erupted on a street in Yonkers.

Police say that at 10:52 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to 44 Maple St. on a report of a single gunshot having been fired.

They found an 18-year-old Yonkers man who had gunshot wound to his hand.  Investigators say the wound appears to be self-inflicted. The victim was transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police say no arrests have been made yet.

Last week, there was a shooting on the same street, but no one was hurt. It is not known yet if the two shootings are related.
