A woman from Stratford faces a slew of charges after allegedly stabbing her ex-boyfriend on Christmas Eve.
Karalyn Mikucionis, 27, appeared in court Tuesday and was charged with assault, carrying a dangerous weapon, risk of injury and disorderly conduct.
Police say they responded to her home on Greenfield Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
They say her ex-boyfriend, who is the father of her child, came by with his girlfriend to drop off the child.
Officials say Mikucionis met them in the driveway and that discussion of child custody spurred an argument, during which Mikucionis allegedly punched the woman.
Officials say Mikucionis stabbed her ex in the chest when he tried to intervene.
Capt. Frank Eannottis of the Stratford Police Department says the man was able to restrain her, holding onto her until help arrived.
Police say the man is expected to fully recover.
News 12 is told the judge issued protective orders against Mikucionis on behalf of the victims.
Mikucionis is being held on a $75,000 bond.
