New Rochelle police officers deliver donated toys to kids

NEW ROCHELLE -

Christmas was coming early for some kids in New Rochelle on Saturday.

Every year, New Rochelle police officers deliver donated toys to unsuspecting kids during their annual Blue Santa toy giveaway.

Santa Claus, dressed in blue, surprises children and gives away toys as a way to build a relationship with the community.

“It's important that the community knows we care about them and that we want to continue improving the relationships we have,” says Detective Christopher Greco.

The toys are donated by the New Rochelle police officers.
