Public works crews were out in Westchester and Hudson Valley Saturday in an effort to keep roadways clear amid the season's first snowfall.
Major roads, such as the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers, were covered with snow Saturday afternoon. The same was true for many side and back streets throughout the area.
In White Plains, DPW officials said crews were out all night spreading salt and clearing roads.
