Super Moon dazzles Hudson Valley stargazersPosted: Updated:
Stargazers got a chance to witness the first and only “Super Moon” of this year this weekend.
A Super Moon is when the moon appears brighter and closer in the sky because its orbit takes it closest to Earth.
Astronomers say the best time to catch a glimpse of it is either right after sunset, or minutes before the next sunrise.
Two more will be visible in January.
Anyone with pictures of the Super Moon is invited to post them on News 12’s Facebook page!
