Police: Stony Point woman struck child with car, fled the scene

A Stony Point woman was arrested after allegedly striking a child with her car and fleeing the scene. 

Ramapo police say it happened Friday night near Route 306.

The child was treated for head and leg injuries.

Police say a 35 year-old Stony Point woman was later taken into custody and charged with DWI and leaving the scene.

Officials have not yet released her name.
