Rockland plastic company told to control its odors

ORANGEBURG -

Change is on the way at a controversial plastics factory in Rockland County.

The Department of Environmental Conservation says the Aluf facility in Orangetown will have to install an odor control system and monitor its effectiveness.

Neighbors have complained about a foul smell coming from the building.

Officials say air samples collected in June and August were found to be within legal limits.
