MIDDLETOWN -

Wallkill police say have a description of a suspect who fired a bullet into the floor at Galleria Mall at Crystal Run Sunday afternoon.

After witness accounts and surveillance video, authorities describe the man as a white or Hispanic male, about 6 feet 2 inches tall with dark hair, a beard and a mustache. They say he was wearing a dark jacket and khaki pants.

Police say the suspect was not alone. They are looking for a woman described as white or Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall with blonde hair. They say she was wearing a dark jacket and maroon pants.

A 49-year-old Goshen woman and her 12-year-old son suffered minor abrasions during the incident. It is still unclear if the gunshot fired from the handgun was an accidental discharge.

Police say the suspect and woman were with two children, an infant and a 3-year-old toddler, leading them to believe they may have been a family.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
