Firefighters say a driver crashed into her Yonkers home Sunday, causing major structural damage.

Crews responded to the home on Park and Greenvale avenues just after 9 a.m.

A woman called 911 saying she was trapped in the car after driving through her garage door and smashing into the house.

"It's possible she had her foot onto the gas instead of the break, she knocked out a concrete wall and a couple of wooden walls,” says Yonkers Assistant Fire Chief Edward Cucolo.

The Yonkers Fire Collapse unit was on the scene shoring up walls with plywood to temporarily repair the damage.

No one was injured in the crash.
