Police seek man who allegedly approached girl getting off bus in Wallkill

Police are looking for a man who allegedly approached a girl who was getting off a school bus in Wallkill.

The 12-year-old girl says she saw a van go around the block on Fairfax Avenue several times before approaching her and asking if she “saw his kitten.”

Once the girl said no, the van drove off.

Police say the man is described as a white male with a gray beard and short hair, who was wearing sunglasses. He was driving a white utility van with a large scratch under the back window.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Town of Wallkill police at 845- 692-6757.
