Eleven percent of Brooklyn children and 15 percent of seniors suffer from hunger, according to a new report from the food advocacy group Hunger Free America.
The report also found that one in nine adults in the borough are employed -- but "food insecure" nonetheless.
Many of their families rely on food pantries to make ends meet.
In Bed-Stuy, the Campaign Against Hunger says there's been a steady stream of people filing in to get food at its pantry there.
