A teenage murder suspect who escaped from a youth detention center with three other teens remains on the run.
Authorities say that Michael Huggins escaped from the Harbor Fields Youth Detention Facility in Egg Harbor City Tuesday night. Huggins and three other teens allegedly overpowered a corrections officer and stole his car.
Authorities found Donovan Nickerson, Raymir Lampkin and Stephine Woodley in Bridgeton on Wednesday about nine hours after they escaped.
Several schools in the area were closed Wednesday as a precaution while authorities searched for the teens. The schools were expected to be opened Thursday.
Huggins is charged in the 2016 slaying of Devonte Lee, who was gunned down while sitting in a vehicle.
The Associated Press wire services contributed to this report.
