HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON -

Sen. George Latimer is hoping to unseat incumbent Rob Astorino Tuesday to become Westchester's next county executive.

Latimer, a Democrat, voted today in his hometown of Rye and spent the day rallying with supporters. He also thanked volunteers and said he's confident that he got his message out.

"It's grueling the closer you get to the finish line," said Latimer.

Taxes were one of the biggest issues both candidates focused on. Now it's up to the voters to decide who is the best candidate for the job.
