Ossining remembers fallen Marine

OSSINING -

Former Marines and students at Ossining High School turned out today to honor one of their own.

On the 34th anniversary of the suicide bombing attack in Beirut, a prayer was held today in memory of Lance Cpl. Craig Wyche.

The 18-year-old Ossining High grad was one of more than 200 marines killed in the attack on an American compound in Beirut, Lebanon back on October 23, 1983.

His brother says it's important to keep Cpl. Wyche's name alive.  "As soon as we forget something like this, these things come back to haunt us in other ways. We should always remember those that fought for this country and who gave their lives to this country. All the service men," says Glen Wyche.

Wyche was a 1982 graduate of Ossining High school.
