Tappan Zee H.S. evacuated after student mixes wrong chemicals together

ORANGEBURG -

Tappan Zee High School was evacuated Thursday after a student allegedly mixed the wrong chemicals together during class.

News 12 is told hundreds of students ended up outside Tappan Zee High School in Orangeburg.

Officials say it was caused by a student somehow mixing the wrong chemicals together during class.

They say a foul odor went through the school.

The evacuation lasted about an hour.

No one was hurt during the evacuation.
