A Spring Valley mom claims her 16-year-old daughter was attacked by a security guard at school.
Chenelle Facey, a student at Spring Valley High School, says she was put in a chokehold by a security guard. She says the incident happened out of nowhere as she was pushed down. She says she was getting on the bus Thursday and didn't do anything to provoke the attack.
News 12 obtained exclusive video showing what appears to be a security guard grabbing a student and wrestling her to the ground.
Verona Turner, Facey's mother, says the school is being tight-lipped about the whole thing. She says school officials told her there may have been a fight, but there are no security cameras in the area where the incident happened.
The head of security at the East Ramapo School District declined News 12's request for a comment, saying only that it's a personnel issue that's under investigation.
Turner says her daughter has been suspended until further notice. Turner says she plans to press charges against the security guard.
