Westchester County vies for consideration in housing Amazon’s 2nd HQ

Westchester County is hoping to become home to retail giant Amazon's new headquarters.
"We have everything Amazon is looking for and more," says County Executive Rob Astorino. "We've got talent, accessibility, quality of life. We've got location, location, location."
Amazon is expected to invest billions of dollars into its new headquarters.
Communities across the country are vying to be considered for hosting the second headquarters.  Amazon has promised a $5 billion investment and 50,000 thousand jobs.
Somers Town Supervisor Rick Morrissey says Amazon's presence would launch a significant economic boost in the area. He says the former IBM and PepsiCo campuses are vacant and could house the facility.
Morrissey and dozens of county officials pitched the idea to Amazon Tuesday.  The elaborate staged event included a drone dropping off the county executive's remarks.
News 12 is told New Rochelle and Mount Vernon are also interested in housing the facility.
Final proposals are due next month, and a decision is expected to be made next year.
