EASTCHESTER -

Eastchester police are warning people about a so-called virtual kidnapping scam.

They say someone is calling people and saying a family member has been involved in a car crash.

The caller will then demand money or say they're holding your family member at gunpoint.

Police are asking anyone who receives the threat to contact them immediately.
