Men in Orange County drug ring sent to prisonPosted: Updated:
Three Orange County men were sent to prison after being sentenced in connection with a family run drug operation.
The Orange County District Attorney's Office says Lamont Williams, 45, of Wallkill, was sentenced to up to 20 years in prison for leading a ring that sold heroin, cocaine, PCP and marijuana in Newburgh and other parts of the county.
Two other Newburgh men were also sentenced in connection with the drug ring. Mark Robinson, 36, got up to 13 years in prison, while Steven Reed, 24, was sentenced to up to six years.
The men were among 34 individuals who were rounded as part of a nine-month long narcotics investigation called “Operation Family Ties.” Williams’s son Lamont Williams Jr. was also among those arrested in March 2017.
