Man dies after being found on Newburgh street

NEWBURGH -

A man who was found injured on a street in Newburgh has died.

Police say Marvin Jones, 51, was found at the intersection of Carpenter Avenue and Van Ness Street around 10 p.m. Sunday night.

First responders performed CPR when they arrived to the scene and while Jones was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital. Doctors were unable to save the man. 
It's not clear yet what lead up to his death.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Newburgh police department at 845-561-3131.
