Route 211 Bridge in Orange County reopens after summer repairs

MIDDLETOWN -

The Route 211 Bridge in Orange County is now back open after two months of repairs.

The two-lane bridge spans from Middletown to Montgomery.

Tom Manza, of Manza Farms in Montgomery, says they lost business while the state made culvert repairs beneath the span – detouring customers farther than many were willing to travel.

"They had people going almost 15 miles out of the way to get to any of the businesses around here. It was painful," said Manza.

The bridge officially reopened on Tuesday.
