Spring Valley police are asking for help finding a man who allegedly inappropriately touched a young girl in a department store Tuesday evening.

They say the girl was shopping with her parents in a Target store when a young man approached her in an aisle. He allegedly made inappropriate gestures toward her, followed her to another section of the store and forcibly touched her.

The girl told her parents, who notified security. Security then contacted the police.

Police the incident is the first of its kind to happen at the store. 

They describe the suspect as a white or Hispanic male, between 5-foot-8 and 10, and with brown hair.

Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call police.
