MTA releases name of victim hit by train

PORT CHESTER -

MTA officials have released the name of a man killed last Wednesday in Port Chester after he was hit and killed by a train.

Officials say Jose Reyes Hernandez, 45, of Port Chester, was hit by a train from Stamford going to Grand Central around 5:30 a.m. that day.

It is still unknown why Hernandez was on the tracks.

Commuters dealt with delays on the New Haven line of over an hour as officials investigated the death.
