The Yonkers PBA held its annual Handicapped Picnic Wednesday for special-needs kids in Yonkers.
Hundreds of kids from across the county, including children from the Westchester School For Special Children, Camp Pride and ARC of Westchester, attended the event at Redmond Field.
The event featured music, food and a K-9 performance.
Yonkers Police Officer Chris Plaandra started the PAL picnic more than 30 years ago with only about a dozen special-needs kids. That number has since grown to nearly 500.
