YONKERS -

Two boys are facing possible charges after they set a car on fire and seriously damaged a few other vehicles in Yonkers, according to police

Investigators say an 8-year-old and a 9-year-old boy set the car on fire around 6:45 p.m. on Monday in the parking lot of Castle Royale, a wedding venue on Nepperhan Avenue and Waverly Street. They say the car next to the burning vehicle also suffered fire damage. The fire was extinguished without incident, and no injuries were reported.

Police say two other vehicles were also discovered vandalized with broken windows.

The boys were taken into police custody, but no charges have been filed as of yet. Police say that due to their juvenile ages, no further information will be released.
