YONKERS -

Police have released the identity of the man who was fatally shot in Yonkers Tuesday evening.

Authorities say two men walked up to a group of people Tuesday night on Warburton Avenue and opened fire on 26-year-old Malik Kavon Clemons. They say Clemons had already been taken to the hospital by car before police arrived on the scene. They say he had been shot several times in the chest and was already declared dead by the time officers arrived at the hospital.

A 29-year-old was also hit in the leg with a bullet but is expected to be OK.

There are surveillance cameras in the area that will hopefully help police in their investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
