Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced today that the Rockland-bound span of the new Tappan Zee Bridge will open Aug. 25.

Cuomo made the announcement this morning at the Association for a Better New York breakfast in New York City.

The opening will come just over three years since construction commenced on the nearly $4 billion project.
