YONKERS -

A man is dead after being shot on the streets of Yonkers overnight.

Police say witnesses report that two men walked up to a group of people in the area of 373 Warburton Ave. around 10 p.m. on Tuesday and opened fire. Two men and several parked cars were hit by gunfire.

Investigators tell News 12 that a 26-year-old victim had already been taken to the hospital by car before police arrived. They say the man had been shot several times in the chest and was already declared dead by the time officers arrived at the hospital.

The second man, a 29-year-old, was grazed by a bullet in the legs and he is expected to be OK. The names of the 2 victims have not yet been released.

Investigators feel that it was a targeted shooting and not a random act of violence.

There are surveillance cameras in the area that will hopefully help police in their investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
