HAVERSTRAW -

Police have identified the teen who drowned at Harriman State Park last week.

Luke Rambharose, an 18-year-old from New Jersey, was in a section of Pine Meadow Lake where signs indicate that swimming is prohibited, according to police. They say he slipped underwater. Friends attempted to rescue and revive him but were unable to.

Authorities say it took 20 minutes for responders in an all-terrain vehicle to reach Rambharose. Once they arrived, CPR was not successful.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the victim's family.
