NEWBURGH -

The New York Air Show expects to draw thousands to Orange County this weekend.

Many of the fighter jets are already on the runway at Stewart Air Force Base in Newburgh to get ready for opening day.

Organizers say over 30 military and civilian aircrafts will be on display. "This is really going to be a great weekend. Here in New York we have an F-35 you see behind me and F-16 and a P-51 Mustang. We're all going to be flying in formation doing a routine. It's going to be a great sight to see, that evolution of air power and aviation," says Air Force Major William Andreotta.

The third annual show runs noon to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The gates open at 9 a.m. each day.
