EAST FISHKILL -

The owner of a Hudson Valley tailor shop is taking heat for scathing remarks she made to a customer over a bad online review.

On Tuesday, a Hudson Valley bridesmaid left a bad review for Hopewell Tailor Shop on the East Fishkill store's Facebook page, saying her dress was "butchered" and that she was "thrown out" in tears by owner Patrica Delehanty.

Delehanty then posted a scathing response of her own, calling the customer "pathetic" and in need of "mental help."

"They got $300 worth of alterations for free. I offered to buy a new dress,” Delehanty told News 12.

Facebook users responded in shock, leaving their own reviews and saying they would never go to the shop after reading what Delehanty wrote.
