Funerals held for 3 victims of Orange County quadruple homicide

MIDDLETOWN -

Funerals were held Wednesday for three victims of a quadruple murder in Orange County more than a year ago.

The funerals for Martin Luna, his brother-in-law Miguel Luna and his nephew Urbano Santiago were held at the Melendez Funeral Home on Grove Street in Middletown.

It is understood the fourth victim, Hector Gutierrez, was recently cremated.

The men’s bodies were found last year on an Otisville property that belonged to retired Briarcliff Manor Officer Nicholas Tartaglione. He and former school security guard Joseph Biggs, of Nanuet, are both charged in the murders and could face the death penalty.

Prosecutors allege Tartaglione and Biggs lured Martin Luna, accompanied by the three other men, to the Likquid Lounge in Chester on April 11, 2016. They say the duo held the men captive and killed them after a botched drug deal.

News 12 has learned that the three bodies will be flown back to Mexico on Thursday.
