14 honored for perfect attendance in YonkersPosted: Updated:
Some Yonkers students have learned that hard work in school pays off.
Fourteen students at the Museum School 25 were honored Tuesday with the "Perfect Attendance" award for attending all 182 days of school this year.
Some students told News 12 they were inspired by family and teachers to go to school every day. "I was able to do that by my teacher because she's a wonderful teacher and she always relates everything to other things so you kind of have a better aspect of learning," says sixth-grade student Cyril Prince. "My grandmother always has this expression, ‘Better to get there late than not get there at all,’" says second-grader Quincy Simmons.
Today was graduation for the students, who will move on to middle school.
