Crews are starting to remove construction equipment on the Tappan Zee Bridge as they work to finish the span.
The first of the twin spans is still several months away from opening, but now drivers can cross the entire three-mile length of the new bridge.
This week, crews began removing temporary access structures on the westbound main span towers.
Work near the Rockland landing will require a mobile crane. In order to get it in place, traffic will be stopped for about 10 minutes on all northbound Thruway lanes in South Nyack. This work is scheduled for Monday at 4 a.m.
The westbound span is scheduled to open sometime this fall. The entire bridge is scheduled to be completed by 2018.
