A famous actor is among a group of activists in Orange County who has been found guilty of obstructing justice.
The so-called "Wawayanda 6" were convicted for chaining themselves together to block the construction of a gas power plant on Route 6 in 2015.
Academy Award nominee and Emmy winner James Cromwell, of Warwick, says he does not regret protesting. "This case - even though we did not win it - will establish a precedent. That precedent is there and is an imminent danger to all of us.'”
The "Wawayanda 6" were each given 16 hours community service and a $375 fine.
